Room 727
Gray is up in his room and resting. He is in and out, and having some pain, but doing well. He is in room 727, and his nurse is great. He definitely likes the pain med pump!! He said it feels like a horse kicked him in the chest repeatedly. Hoping for a lot of rest this afternoon and tonight, and then tomorrow he starts getting up and walking. More to come later......thanks for all the positive thoughts!
Out of surgery
Gray is out of surgery! He did really well. He did have to have two bars put in, and the results are excellent. He is in the recovery room and we will be able to join him soon. I will update when he is in his room.
In Surgery
Gray just sauntered back to OR. It will be about three hours for surgery. He was completely entertained by his friends who have been texting furiously and his anesthesiologist who moonlights as a comedian. His posse (both sets of grandparents and Chris and I) are here and the hospital staff have been really patient with us. Thanks to everyone for checking in. I will update this as soon as Gray is out of OR.

What Monday looks like
Monday we will travel to Norfolk for a few pre-op appointments and then hang out and have dinner. Feel free to text/call Gray any time on Monday, I am sure the more he hears from his friends the easier it will be to get through the boring day. I will post again Tuesday once Gray is out of surgery and in his room.
